New Delhi – A 17‑year‑old boy was allegedly attacked with knives in the Trilokpuri locality of Mayur Vihar, reportedly as retaliation for an old dispute. The incident prompted a charge of attempted murder and led to the arrest of three juveniles, while authorities continue to pursue a fourth alleged participant.

Chronology of the Incident

Police received a distress call at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday reporting that a teenager had been stabbed in the 30 Block area of Trilokpuri. Officers from the Mayur Vihar police station arrived swiftly, provided first‑aid, and transported the victim to LBS Hospital.

Given the seriousness of his injuries, doctors later transferred him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for advanced care. As of the latest update, his condition has stabilised.

Underlying Rivalry

The investigation revealed that the victim had been involved in a confrontation with another youngster about fifteen days earlier. Sources say the teen and his friends allegedly assaulted the other party during that earlier clash. Police believe the lingering animosity motivated the later ambush, during which the victim was intercepted and stabbed with two knives recovered from the scene.

Law enforcement officials have detained three juveniles for questioning and have confiscated the two knives believed to have been used in the assault. Simultaneously, specialised teams are conducting raids at suspected hideouts to locate a fourth juvenile who is believed to have taken part in the attack.

Further inquiries are in progress to piece together the exact sequence of events and assign responsibility to each individual involved.
