Hyderabad. A murder case has been lodged after the lifeless body of a 34‑year‑old bank employee was discovered in a room at the Gokul Pride Hotel, located in the SR Nagar neighbourhood of Hyderabad.
The victim has been identified as B. Sirisha, a resident of Nagasamudram in Vikarabad district who worked as a customer‑care executive at a local bank.
According to police findings, Sirisha checked into the hotel on 24 September accompanied by a man who identified himself as A. Srinivas. Both individuals allegedly used false names and forged identification documents while making the reservation.
Hotel records show that Srinivas entered the name “Ganesh” while Sirisha was listed as “Durga,” and they were assigned to room 10.
Police reports state that Srinivas departed the premises at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, informing staff that Sirisha would remain until after breakfast. When the allotted time elapsed without any response from the room and Sirisha failed to answer her phone, hotel personnel grew suspicious and alerted authorities.
Upon arrival, police used a master key to enter the suite and found Sirisha lying motionless on the bed. Preliminary observations noted visible injuries, suggesting she may have been struck with a heavy or sharp object. A curtain rod recovered from the room is also being examined as potential evidence. The definitive cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report is completed.
Jubilee Hills DCP A. Ramana Reddy confirmed that the case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic material have been collected, and investigators are reviewing the hotel’s CCTV footage to trace Srinivas’s movements and reconstruct the timeline.
Special task forces have been assembled to locate the suspect, while authorities are also probing the discrepancy between the alias “Durga” used in the hotel log and Sirisha’s actual name recorded in official documents.
Investigators are further examining a prior alleged assault involving Sirisha’s husband to determine any possible link to the current incident. The police continue to pursue all leads in the search for Srinivas and to unravel the circumstances surrounding the murder.
