Murder Stuns Fatehabad Community
On Thursday night, local residents stumbled upon the lifeless body of 35‑year‑old Premveer, a man listed as a history‑sheeter, lying on a cot beneath a neem tree in a remote field. He had been attacked with a sharp‑edged instrument that struck his head, leading to fatal injuries while he slept.
Body Spotted at Dawn
At first light, farmers heading to the fields noticed Premveer’s corpse on the cot. The grisly scene attracted a gathering of onlookers, and the alarm was swiftly raised to the nearest police outpost.
Police Launch Investigation
A team from the Fatehabad police station arrived, secured the scene, and sent the remains for a post‑mortem. Officers have begun a systematic inquiry, which includes:
- Interviewing family members and neighbours to reconstruct Premveer’s last movements.
- Collecting forensic samples from the cot, surrounding soil, and the weapon’s probable impact site.
