An Enchanted Bride Steps Into a Household
Veteran actress Yami Gautam is poised for an unexpected comeback on the big screen with Naai Naveli. The freshly released trailer weaves together mystery, slapstick, mythic fantasy and adrenaline‑filled action, hinting at a tone that starkly contrasts with her earlier projects.
The teaser opens on a traditional Mumbai wedding, after which the newly‑wed daughter‑in‑law arrives at her husband’s home. The family greets her like any ordinary bride—until a relative dramatically declares that she is not human at all, but a witch.
What starts as a dismissed comment quickly spirals into a series of bizarre happenings: flickering lights, cryptic symbols, a fleeting glimpse of Ravana’s silhouette, and rapid‑fire fight sequences. Comic banter among family members intertwines with these eerie moments, leaving the audience eager to discover the truth behind the mysterious Mohini.
Yami Gautam as Mohini
Gautam steps into the role of Mohini, a newcomer whose presence upends the everyday rhythm of a middle‑class Meerut family. Her arrival triggers a cascade of laugh‑inducing misunderstandings and edge‑of‑your‑seat suspense, offering Gautam a richly layered, off‑beat canvas to showcase her versatility.
